Privacy Policy
Effective August 9, 2026
Catalyst (“the app,” “we,” “us”) is a conversation-card app published by CtrlAltCreate LLC. We built Catalyst to be private by default: it has no accounts, no login, and no servers that store your personal information. This policy explains what little data is involved and how it is handled.
1. Information we do not collect
We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or location. There are no user accounts. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking software, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
2. Information stored on your device
The app saves a few settings locally on your device so it works the way you left it. That is the complete list: whether you have unlocked Catalyst Pro, how many free deals you have used today, your selected color theme and light/dark preference, whether you have already seen the first-run introduction, whether the app has already asked you to rate it, and whether the one-time upgrade offer has already been shown to you. None of these are personal information, none of them identify you, and none of them leave your device — they are stored only in the app’s own storage on your phone (your unlock status and color theme are also shared on-device with the Catalyst iMessage extension so it matches the app), are never transmitted to us, and are removed if you delete the app.
3. Purchases
Catalyst offers optional in-app purchases: a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, and a one-time lifetime unlock. Payments are processed by the store you obtained the app from — by Apple through your App Store account, or, if you obtained Catalyst from Google Play, by Google through your Google Play account. We never see or receive your payment-card details. To deliver and restore your purchase across your devices, we use RevenueCat, Inc. as our purchase-management provider. RevenueCat processes a pseudonymous app-user identifier and your subscription/transaction status to confirm what you have unlocked; we do not provide it your name or contact information. Their practices are described at apple.com/legal/privacy, policies.google.com/privacy, and revenuecat.com/privacy.
4. Children
Catalyst is rated 12+ on the App Store and is not directed to young children. Because the app has no accounts and collects no personal information from anyone, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has somehow provided us with personal information, contact us at the address in section 9 and we will address it.
5. Data sharing and sale
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information. The only third parties involved are the app store that processes your payment (Apple, or Google where the app is distributed on Google Play) and RevenueCat (purchase management), acting as processors for the purchase feature.
6. Security
Because the app keeps your preferences on your own device and we operate no account database, there is no personal profile of you on our servers to be breached.
7. Your choices
You can clear your local data at any time by deleting the app. You can manage or cancel a subscription through the store you bought it from: in your Apple ID settings (Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions) for App Store purchases, or at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions for Google Play purchases.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will post the revised version here with a new effective date.
